About NGO General association "BekemYntymakJashtaruyumu".
"Bekem Yntymak Ak-suu Jashtar uyumu" is a non-profit organization bringing together young volunteers with the mission of involving youth in civil society through volunteerism, project design, and cooperation both locally and internationally. "Bekem Yntymak Ak-suu Jashtar uyumu"was founded on January 29, 2016 as a youth volunteer organization under the auspices of the public association "BekemYntymakAk-suuJashtaruyumu" , a centre of civic society initiatives.

Volunteer’s Role:

  •  Assist in the coordination of our youth volunteer and the organization of regular meetings as well as motivation and team-building activities.
  •  Participate in the organization and implementation of various events.
  •  Plan and implement short-term international volunteer projects and summer camps together with program coordinator.
  •  Get involved in fundraising activities.
  •  Actively participate in our current projects.
  •  Hold language courses and discussion clubs.
  •  Create any PR materials of our organization: possibilities include booklets, mini clips, photo exhibitions, etc.

Accommodation
You will live with a local host family; they will provide you with your own room and all the necessary conveniences. You will join your host family for breakfast and dinner while lunch will be provided at the office with other members of"BekemYntymakAk-suuJashtaruyumu".

The program fee covers administrative charges, accommodation and food (provided by a host-family), pre-departure preparation assistance, beginner's Russian/Kyrgyz language classes and 24-hour support and guidance from professional, locally based staff.

Note: A volunteer is requested to have basic skills working with youth people, as well as basic Russian or Kyrgyz language skills. New methods/approaches are always welcomed.

About “Hand in Hand”
The Karakol branch of Centre "Hand in Hand" was opened in 2018. It is located 15 km from Karakol on Przhevalsky Bay. Children can spend full days at the centre. The purpose of the Society of Parents of Children with Autism is to provide consultations and legal, informational, organizational, methodological, and material support to children with autism and their families. They aim for social integration of kids with autism and lobby to protect the rights and legitimate interests of people living with autism, to ensure an equal footing with other citizens. The basic principles of the Centre’s activities are equality, protecting human rights and involving parents. In fact, the bulk of the centre’s employees are mothers of children who visit it. These women are highly motivated to improve the lives of their children.

Volunteer’s Role:

  •  You are required to have basic skills working with disabled people, as well as basic Russian or Kyrgyz language skills.
  •  New methods/approaches are always welcomed!
  •  Participate in the organization and implementation of various events.

Accommodation
The volunteer will live with a local family, which will provide the volunteer with their own room and all the necessary conveniences. You will join your host-family for breakfast and dinner; lunch will be provided at the office together with other members of Center

Note:
Volunteers psychologists, therapists are welcome. The work is aimed at working with children and supporting children during classes.
You are expected to have past experience with volunteer work, working as a part of a team.
Basic knowledge of Russian or Kyrgyz language is necessary.

Children’s Family Ak - Bulun LSM–08 | Long Term Volunteering Program Kyrgyzstan

LSM–08 Children’s Family Ak - Bulun 18+

 Location Ak-Bulun village

About Children's Family / Orphanage in Ak-Bulun village:
Meerim Bulagy Orphanage is located in Issyk-Kul Oblast, in Ak-Bulun village. Family Orphanageis a governmental property and currently cares 15 children, aged 4 to 18. Children speak Kyrgyz language and study at secondary schools in the village. The children have many opportunities to participate in different kinds of activities at the orphanage such as dressmaking class, drawing and dancing classes, and sport clubs, computer club. The orphanage staff is 18. They have good experience working with international volunteers. Each year they host up to 3-4 international guests.

Mission:Organize children’s leisure time through conducting games, sport competitions, dance classes, and English

language lessons.
Participate in daily orphanage activities and spend leisure time with the children.

Note: We welcome all volunteers who are enthusiastic, creative and motivated to work with orphan children. Alcohol and drugs are not permitted during the camp or at the accommodation venues. Smoking is not allowed while volunteers are with children.

About Kindergarten KiyalKechter

The Inclusive kindergarten KiyalKechter realizes activities in several directions:

  •  Providing rehabilitation services to children with disabilities;
  •  Access to education;
  •  Engaging and activating parental initiatives;
  •  Reducing stigma and the involvement of children with disabilities in the activities of the local community.

  •  Participate in daily kinder garden activities and spend leisure time with the children

Volunteer’s Role:
We need a volunteer in the direction of institutional development.
1. Knowledge of Russian or kyrgyz language.

3.Have the intention to serve and work as a volunteer at least 2 years
4. Age not younger than 18 years
5. Paul, Russ and religion does not matter.

About  PA " Baldar Omur Bulagy "

 PA " Baldar Omur Bulagy " was established  on May 6, 2006 on the initiative of the mothers of children with disabilities. The creation of a stable base to support children with disabilities and their families in all areas of life. In the organization are conducted classes in elementary school program individually with each child, as well as educational classes and clubs by interests (origami, sewing, painting, etc.). The organization has five employees and one volunteer from " JICA ".

21 children attend the center of the organization. Tup (Kirgh. Tүp) - the administrative center of the district of Tup. Located in the eastern part of the Issyk-Kul, 27 km from the regional center - the city of Karakol.

Mission:  Protecting the rights of children with disabilities and their mothers by providing material, moral social support, adaptation, integration of children into society. Assist in improving the lives of children with disabilities and their families. 

Volunteer’s Role:

 We need a volunteer in the direction of institutional 

development.

2. Have the appropriate education or experience in this area.
